The Mason House Medical Clinic in Sale has a full time vacancy (6 -10 sessions per week) due to the expansion of the clinic and the departure of a GP. No procedural skills are required. VMO rights to Central Gippsland Health Service are available if interested. Participation in the after hours on-call roster is optional.
The successful GP will be provided with an excellent orientation and induction into the practice and will be well supported and mentored into the future. The GP and family will be assisted to find accommodation and suitable schools, access community services, groups and sporting and social opportunities to ensure a smooth transition into the community.
The Package
The successful GP will be engaged as a contractor for an initial period of 18 months to two years. Remuneration will be 60% of total billings. A draft contract is available.
Practice Profile
The Mason House Medical Clinic will move into new purpose built facilities with 14 consulting rooms in 2010. It is an accredited, computerised, teaching practice. Three full time and two part time doctors are supported by a practice manager, practice nurse, mental health nurse and a diabetes educator.
Practice hours are Monday - Friday 9 am - 5 pm and Saturday 9 am - 12 noon. Patient health issues that impact most on the clinic are age related.
Pathology, pharmacy, and allied health practitioners are on site and specialist and additional allied health services are available in Sale and through Central Gippsland Health Service. This is an 80 bed hospital in Sale that includes operating theatres, emergency department, intensive care, surgical, medical, renal dialysis, cardiology, oncology and obstetrics and paediatrics units. The Central Gippsland Health Service employs 1200 staff and there are 74 visiting medical professionals. VMO rights for minor surgery, obstetrics etc are available.
