Sale is only 20 minutes from the Ninety Mile Beach, an hour to the streams and the plains of the high country and overlooks some of Victoria’s most extensive wetlands.

Sale was once the Hub of transport in Gippsland – a crossroads – being at the head of the rail line from Melbourne. It was a major port in the Gippsland Lakes network when steamers traded on the lakes and a major town between Port Albert on the coast and the goldfields in the north.
